Any type of paid advertising can be scary to the newest home based business owners. Using paid Ezine advertising can be confusing at best as well. All advertising comes with risks and rewards. If you know what the potential gain is versus the potential cost you can make an informed decision. So how do you know if paid Ezine advertising is for you?
Ezine advertising puts you directly head to head with other home based business owners going after the same niche as you. The key to success is to have compelling copy. Convincing someone to take action when your ad is pressed top to bottom with your competition is critical to your success. You must have a very Unique Selling Proposition to grab the reader’s attention along with a strong call to action.
Before venturing into paying for the advertising, check out what your future competition is doing.
Look at their advertising. What makes them unique to their offer? Are they approaching reader’s to capture leads or are they straight to the sale. What are they offering to get the reader to take action? What will be the reward to the advertiser if the reader takes action? Can you build a campaign that will give you a value greater than the cost of advertising? All of this can be gleaned from watching the patterns of ads and the frequency they are shown.
Build a complete campaign on paper before attempting to purchase advertising. Know what steps you are going to lead your leads down. Know what products and what order you intend to take the prospect. Now look for the areas that you may have the opportunity to perform A-B testing. Have plans from the start as to what to test.
Important note, even investing a small amount of money in paid advertising can be very risky even for an established marketer on a limited budget.
Not allowing the campaign to mature may cause failure. Running out of capital for advertising just days away from success can be frustrating. Spending advertising money on a campaign that is getting no response can be just as devastating.
The smart approach is to build your mailing list as opposed to trying to sell a direct product off of the campaign. You are asking for less value from your reader and you are getting a long term chance to sell this person.
Using free reports and newsletter is a low cost way for you to begin to train your email list to take action. An active targeted list that is use to taking action when you instruct them to is valuable. Rather than one sale from fewer people you are now looking at multiple sales to this group of buyers.
May I wish you great success rather than great luck? Great experience determines the outcome of any luck that you may ever have.

Why use Pay Per Click advertising?
1: Pay Per Click Advertising is by far the most direct marketing system ever invented. You actually get to place your ad directly in front of a prospect that has searched on a term related to your product or business. Your prospect is proactively looking for what you have to offer. You cannot get a more targeted form of advertising.
2: Market research has never been easier. You now have the opportunity with Pay Per Click advertising to measure a markets value quickly and cheaply simply by targeting a few ads at this market. With a few targeted Pay Per Click advertising campaigns you can now measure potential ROI across a whole market within a few days for pennies rather than the months and big bucks it used to demand.
3: Market to the planet or just your small hometown. With the introduction of local targeting last year Google have opened up a whole new opportunity for small businesses. If you offer a service such as a garage or hairdressers etc. before now there was little point in using Pay Per Click advertising. You can’t offer this service over the web. But now with local search you can pinpoint a district for which you would like your ad to appear. Your ad will then appear only to your most likely prospects. At the other extreme if you offer a product that is not reliant on physical location you can now get highly targeted visitor from across the planet or country.
4: Get traffic to a new site fast. If you have a new site you will struggle for a long time to get anywhere near a good listing in the search engines. Pay Per Click advertising will allow you to take your business straight to market the day your website goes live. Saving you months in potential lost earnings.
5: Recent Pay Per Click innovations have seen Advertisers given more control in where their Adwords Ad will appear. You now have the option to advertise on specific sites. Even more recently site owners now also have the option to place a banner on their site advertising the opportunity to visitors to advertise there.
6: Variety. Although Adwords is the leading Pay Per Click advertising system it’s by far the only one. Yahoo have their own system known as Yahoo Search Marketing, formally Overture. MSN are about to bring their new system online, MSN adCenter. Then there’s Findwhat, LookSmart, Miva etc. Are your chosen keywords to costly on Adwords? Try one of the other Pay Per Click advertising networks.
7: Opportunity favours the quick and the prepared. Pay Per Click and online advertising spending in general is set rocket over the next few years as more and more businesses become disillusioned with the results of their traditional advertising avenues. By learning to utilize Pay Per Click advertising properly now you can position yourself to take advantage of future developments fast.
Pay Per Click Advertsing in ConclusionAs more businesses come online SEO competition is hotting up. Google already implements a ‘Sandbox’ which will see new sites get very little traffic for 8 to 12 months after going live. The sandbox is a ‘holding pen’ for new sites. Google introduced the sandbox as a means to monitor and control new site listings. This was introduced as a defence against the rash of Spam sites that where appearing across the Net.
This being the case don’t expect a good ranking or any traffic from Google for a long time after your new site goes live.
Some cynics will accuse Google of leveraging their position as market leader in the Search Engine arena to force the owners of new sites to join the Adwords program as the only option for traffic from Google.
To be fair it has crossed my mind in the past but then I remember the Spam results Google suddenly started serving back in March 2004 and I’m thankful I don’t see those anymore, thanks in part to the Sandbox.

There are a lot of advertising mode available online. If you are starting a work at home business the first thing you come come across is to get free classified advertising. Well there are two kinds of Classified advertising paid and free. Of course we all would like to get it free.
As they say you get what you pay for and in Work at home business that is certainly the truth. Will you get a lot of traffic with free classified ads? Well my experiences is no. I see free classified ads as a come on for you to buy “PAID” classified ads. I never got any traffic with free classified ads. Most free site will only let your ads be active for 7, 14, 30 or 60 days and they will not get in other source of prospect to read your ads less search engine or their own revisiting prospect. And on top of that some site sell their newsletters for a small fee and instead of getting payment notification, you are getting more sales letter in your inbox.
The question then become do “PAID” classified ads work. The Answer is yes you can get traffic with paid classifieds, but be careful because what you want is “TARGETED TRAFFIC”. Targeted traffic is traffic from people that are interested in your product. There are may people that guarantee you traffic for a price. But if it is not targeted it does you no good. Well why would people visit your website if they are not interested in your product? Because they get paid to visit web sites (eg. paid to click, paid to view ads, paid to surf etc…).
Here is how that works. A promoter advertises that he will pay for people to surf the net and click on ads. He pays say 2 cents per click. Many people will do that and spend their time clicking ads—traffic. The same promoter will advertise he can get you guaranteed traffic. He charges you 10 cents per click. You get a lot of hits but no sales for your Work at Home business. It was not people interested in your product, they were interested in the 2 cents. The promoter makes an 8 cent profit.
Does this mean Paid Classifieds do not work. No! It means if you are going to advertise with classifieds be careful. Make sure the traffic is targeted traffic that is looking for your product. There are people out there that sell that type of traffic. Do some research on the internet and by all means start small and test. It can payoff but it requires a little work.
There are a lot more paid classified ads site out there that require you to pay more for your post of pics, url, active days or network ads. But what i would propose is to research on major search engine on “paid classified ads”, see the site index on page one and do your comparison or research. As the saying goes there is never any get rich scheme or guaranteed traffic overnight! Your success is based on your effort, persistence, time spend on research and your try-and-error methods. Once you have picked up the momentum, you will see results.

You have most likely have heard about pay per click advertising, but you may not fully understand how it works. While the name is fairly self explanatory, the practice is a bit more complex. In pay per click advertising, the merchant pays a commission each time someone clicks on an ad that directs them to the merchant’s website.
The basic concept is easy enough just pick a company and decide on the contract. However, you need to consider some important factors before deciding on a pay per click advertising contract. How much it costs varies and depends on several factors, particularly the keywords selected, number of clicks the ad generates and the terms of the contract.
The most widely recognized pay per click programs are Google, Yahoo and MSN, with Google having the largest market share in pay per click advertising. The reason these are the largest is they represent the largest search engines, which means your target audience is using one of these three to find products and services online.
Determine how much you are willing to pay for each click, depending on your advertising budget. Other factors to consider when selecting a contract is whether you want to pay initial set up fees or not and pay for clicks ahead of time or not. The requirements vary, depending on the company you select for your pay per click advertising efforts.
Once you have selected the program that best fits your needs, you will need to set up the ads. For pay per click advertising, you generally have approximately 125 characters to convey your advertising message. This means you will need to write ads that are concise and convey your message to your target audience, generally with a benefit of your service or uniqueness of your products.
You need to select keywords that describe the business and build your ad and website content around these keywords. The most common keywords in any category are also the most expensive. Choosing less competitive keywords can help you stay within your budget and get the results you want.
Although an effective form of online advertising, the biggest downside to pay per click advertising is that the merchant is paying every time the ad is clicked. You won’t make a sale each time, so you are naturally paying for nothing in some cases, while getting good results when a sale is made.
Performance based advertising is a method of online advertising similar to pay per click, but you don’t pay unless you get results. Rather than paying for each click, a commission is paid only for qualified leads and sales. Media trust is a leader in pay per click advertising solutions. Engaging in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising has its own benefits and drawbacks. But what exactly is PPC advertising and what it can do to your business?
Business nowadays is doing different kinds of austerity measures when it comes to advertising their products and services. This is because of high rates of placing ads on print and on television. But there is a fast growing approach that businessmen can utilize to bring their services closer to the people and that is through Internet Marketing.
One tool that is causing internet marketing popularity is PPC advertising. This is a technique used in search engine marketing that requires one to pay a fee every time someone clicks an ad on your website. Usually this placement is done through a bidding process. If you are a top bidder for your keywords/phrases, you are sure to be on the number one spot on all search engines.
Just be sure of the effectiveness of your ad copy to get the most number of clicks you need for your business.
Here are the benefits of PPC advertising are:
1. You need not be a genius in computer and technology to be able to run this ad campaign.
2. Immediate results are seen after a few days
.3. No need to make a website conform to the SEO rules.
4. Nothing to lose even if you do not top the pages of different search engines. You can still always choose PPC advertising.
5. You can make use any search engine available.6. You can type in any keyword you like.
Cons of PPC advertising includes:
1. Fixed payments every month to the search engine you choose.
2. Pay for each click received by your website. At times, visitors are just competitors or people playing pranks on search engines. This hassle wastes money you put in to this advertising.
3. Inability to pay for the fees next month would mean removal of your website on the paid listings.
4. This advertising can only be used temporarily because it is difficult to handle in the long run.
5. Pay-per-click pricing can be costly for long periods of time, therefore, this should be stopped after an ad campaign.
But how exactly PPC advertising can increase traffic, leads and sales?
PRE-QUALIFIED TRAFFIC.—- All visitors of your website are already considered as a qualified consumer or buyer of your product. PPC advertising leads your customers to you for a lesser cost.
INSTANT EXPOSURE, IMMEDIATE PROFITS.— PPC search engines enable you to get your desired results fast. They will have your website live within just a few hours which means immediate increase in sale.
CONSISTENT TOP LISTINGS.— This is to get your website on top of the sponsored search results for free. You just have to choose the keywords related to your site and business and place them within your web pages. After this, you are done.
PPC advertising enables advertisers to control their advertising campaigns. Advertisers have effectively targeted their audience and set their own price per click. PPC advertising networks provide the platform to identify the desired audience by geographic setting, topic and industry. These networks have a list of websites of the publishers where the ads will be placed.
Tools are provided by the networks to check how the pay per click limit is working for a certain advertiser. If its still competitive, would it be even listed among the paid search lists or does it generate sales? Of course, if the advertiser made the highest bid, the better chances the ad will be seen in the search engine. These networks too provide protection for the advertisers against click fraud. This advertising set-up allows advertisers to set a daily budget for his ads, thus, less spending for unnecessary clicks. Advertiser will never go over his budget.
In PPC advertising, what are important are the keywords and phrases. You have to select at least ten “very specific” keywords that would give you the best traffic in the search. Then, write the ad creatively but straightforward. Tell the truth about your product or service and do not lie. Good thing if your product or service will not disappoint those that are relying on your ad’s promise – but what if it did otherwise? Important too is the clarity of the ad. Do not use very vague languages. Include important details like the price.
You should also remember to budget your bids. Do not go overbidding because you will only lose your money and do not go so low that your ads will never get the chance to show up. Check your profit against your spending. If you see no progress then most likely you have to drop your ad campaign. More and more advertisers have been using PPC advertising and it will continue to grow faster than any online advertising techniques. From revenues of .6 billion in 2004 to .5 billion in 2009, cost per click will dramatically go up as well from .29 to .36.
PPC advertising is new in online marketing and it is going to continue in the years to come. For advertisers, this means increase revenues with fewer advertising expenses, savings, more sales, good return of investment (ROI) and effective ad campaigns in the days to come.
